ThreadOpen for Jira

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-06-29

1. Acceptance

By installing, configuring, or using ThreadOpen for Jira ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, uninstall the app.

These Terms are between you (or the organization on whose behalf you install the app) and Tech Lake Systems Sp. z o.o. ("Tech Lake Systems", "we", "the vendor"), a limited liability company registered in Poland.

2. The service

The app is a Forge add-on for Atlassian Jira Cloud that bridges Jira issues to dedicated Slack threads via per-project channel mapping. It runs on Atlassian's Forge platform; we operate no separate servers.

3. License

For v1.0 of the app: free of charge for all use. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app within your Atlassian site, subject to these Terms.

Future paid tiers may apply different licensing terms; you'll be notified before any change affects an existing installation.

4. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

5. Acceptable use

The app is intended for legitimate productivity use within your organization. You must not use it to:

Misuse may result in your installation being revoked.

6. Disclaimer of warranty

We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements. The app depends on third parties (Atlassian Forge, Slack API, Jira REST) whose availability and behavior are outside our control.

7. Limitation of liability

The app is currently provided free of charge, so no monetary liability arises from its use. Should a paid tier be introduced in the future, our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the app will not exceed the greater of EUR 100 or the fees you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Polish or EU law (including liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence).

8. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it via the Atlassian Marketplace.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or violate Atlassian's or Slack's terms. We'll endeavour to give notice where reasonable.

Upon termination, your installation's Forge KVS data is cleared via the lifecycle hook. Threads already posted in Slack are not affected (they belong to your Slack workspace, not to us).

9. Data

How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for reasons including: new features, security considerations, regulatory changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the app will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts competent for the registered seat of the vendor in Poland.
